What is an itinerary?

It is a plan of a journey.
An itforit itinerary is packed with information, descriptions, history, culture and walks - all in the order of travel.

How is an itinerary developed?

  1. Interesting areas are researched, using as many sources as possible
  2. The itinerary is developed and written
  3. It is tested - in person - and more information is collected
  4. It is re-written - using updated information
  5. It is tested again - in person
  6. Minor amendments are made
  7. It is published - after at least 4 months

Every itinerary is packed with information, descriptions, history, photographs, culture and walks - all in the order of travel

Months of research and testing go into every itforit itinerary (see panel on left)

Each itinerary is supplied as a download of a PDF book.   It is recommended to print the book in A4 size, or US letter size. See PDF info

All itineraries include 1 day for arriving and 1 day for leaving.   For example, a 16 day itinerary is made up of one 'travelling day' to arrive at the start, then 14 days of the actual itinerary, then a 'travelling day' for your onward travel.

A daily set of really useful, factual details is provided for:

  • what to do
  • what to see
  • what you need to know, to get the most out of each place visited

Interesting places are included, which have been visited and recommended by our researchers

Photographs are included, to help enjoy places - before, during and after your trip

Interesting walks/hikes are suggested, where applicable, with distances, and what to see on each walk (all walks are in italics)

History is explained, providing you with background knowledge

Pronunciations are provided, where they will help

Translations are provided, where these will give an understanding

All details are:

  • easy to read
  • accurate
  • comprehensive
  • honest and factual
  • up to date
  • in the correct order along the itinerary

It is assumed:

  • you will take your holiday / vacation in the summer
  • you are capable of basic map-reading, and do not want to drive off-road
  • you do not wish to do 'over-night back-pack' walks/hikes

Our researchers are unashamedly English, and have toured the USA and Britain for many years

No apology is made for the 'English' way of expressing details.  itforit has no doubts about the ease of understanding the contents of each itinerary

itforit itineraries are unique, and are not available elsewhere
